New Series Starting is Jan- OPEN HOUSE!

This series is dedicated to helping students understand that, as believers, we have invited Christ to an “open house” of our lives. The question this series poses is “Does Christ feel at home in your life?”

Top Ten Reason to send your child to the REV Winter Retreat

10. Your child will join a long list of distinguished people who have attended winter camp: C.S. Lewis, Queen of England, Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Andy Jack, Mother Teresa, the guy who invented sliced bread, most of the famous saints, and Jesus.

9. Exposure to cold temperatures is proven to increase your child’s brain functions. Why do you think Swedish kids have the highest IQs in the world?

8. Your child will receive the same exposure to church at the Winter Retreat as they would attending year worth of Sunday schools.

7. The outdoor environment provides fresh, clean, and humidified air, which decreases stress, and aggressiveness, allows them to sleep better, and adds color to their cheeks.

6. Your kid may not need a retreat, but that crazy friend of theirs could really use it.

5. You may not know the president of the bank, but your kid may make friends with his kid and then you’ll have an excuse to call their house.

4. Make Christmas shopping easy on yourself, give a gift that will keep on giving for eternity. We’ll be happy to provide you with a personalized gift certificate to put in their stocking.

3. The Bible is very clear about what happens to teens who miss winter camp (2 Kings 2:23-25).

2. Two words: Second Honeymoon.

1. It is a significant turning point in the year as it provides an opportunity for kids to pull away from their “regular routine.” It is a time for them to slow down and give God space to break into their hearts in a new and fresh way. The REV Retreat is ultimately an opportunity to create spiritual markers for kids to look back and say, “I remember God did something in my heart, and it happened on retreat!”

We know that many people are facing tough financial times with the current economy and we don’t want money to hinder any student from attending the winter retreat. If you need financial aid for your child, please do not hesitate to contact Joshua Johnson for more information.

Give the Gift of Life Change for Christmas- REV Winter Retreat

Scratching your head about what to give your child for Christmas?  Why not give them a gift of life change?

Consider given your child a trip to Lake Beauty for our annual winter retreat.  This year is going to be amazing.

We are having Molly Sanborn the “cheeseball chick” speaking, the Rich Larson band, broomball, games, blacklight dodgeball, optional polardip, t shirt, yummy food and much much more.

If you choose to give the retreat as a gift (or have grandma and grandpa give it) we can send you a card for under the tree.

The cost of the weekend is $89 and you can prepay by writing your check it Faith Covenant Church. You can mail it to Faith Covenant Church, and mark what student it is for and that it is for the winter retreat.
